Hmm - this guy swears the serial number I listed is correct. However he says it is a 10 ga with 30 inch damascus barrels. He also says it is covered with engraving and that it has a skeleton butt plate suggesting a D or better grade. I guess the only way I'll know for sure is to take a drive to look at it in person.
Thanks for the quick response though. |

GET OVER THERE!! If it has "engraving all over" it may be a great gun, or it may be an old rust bucket, but it depends on what the guy knows; "It looks like a 10 gauge to me" has turned out to be a 12 gauge.
Go look at it with your best poker face on.(grins) |

All,
I really don't have much interest in this gun but it may be something that belongs in the Parker community. I'll take a look but foul weather is forcast and it is a 2 hour drive so it will have to wait a bit. |

Ok, I have a bit more information after talking to the owner again. He was unable to remove the barrels but after talking him through the process of getting some lube on the hook he successfully removed them. All of the serial numbers match, it is a grade 3, 3 frame size, with 32 inch damascus barrels that sound uncut as the blank space is present, and he says the bores are clean with no pitting.
So, I'm a bit closer to making the drive to look at this gun. Being the neophyte that I am, I have no idea what this gun may be worth. Would any of you care to offer an estimate for a middle of the condition range D grade 10 with uncut barrels. |

Have him reread the serial number from the water table. Trigger guard readings are not reliable. $1000 to $4000.
