Default Recent Purchase; No Info In Records

Just acquired Parker GH SN 189807. There are no records for a PGCA letter. Does anyone have history on this gun? It is 12 gauge with 28 inch Damascus steel barrels. Any info on this gun would be appreciated. Fred

It is an unusually late Damascus gun. I think that is about all the information you're going to get in that serial number range.

Bill, Thanks for that note. The SN is consistent on barrels, frame, and forearm

Actually, Parker made a number of damascus barrelled guns much later than the subject gun. I have a GH 12 gauge in like new condition serialed 220657, made in 1926 or 27.

The subject gun was made in 1920 according to the serialization data on this website. Bill, do you shoot your gun? I haven't had mine checked for wall thickness or chamber length yet. There are some ?minor? marks on the exterior barrels but not the interior.

Fred, never shot it . As previously said, it's almost new and looks it. I do most of my bird shooting with a somewhat newer, but not as nice, GHE 20. Good luck with your gun.
