A significant number of the two and three digit serial numbered Parkers have the 0 (zero) prefix. It was probably put there so as to avoid any confusion that the serial number might be two-thousand, two-hundred, ninety-something, in the case of your gun. Prefixing the serial number with the 0 should dispel any such question.
