I would follow the advice you have received from few members in this thread to post photos, as many very high condition Parkers, even late ones that are "only" 73 years old have had a complete restoration yet are sold as 98%. The lack of late Remington records for extras such as a straight stock or SS trigger also complicates the matter.

However, many of our members (not myself) have a depth of experience with Parkers that allows them to make a very good guess if the gun has been restored, and they can often identify who did the work by the case colors.

Than aside, if you really like the gun, it shoots well, and you and plan to keep it for some time, then the fact it may have been restored becomes less important.
