A thread pitch guage is handy. Or one of the dem-Bart checkering guages.
An 0 grade of that vintage is likely about 16 lpi. Maybe 18.
Bear in mind that often modern lpi. Counts may not match the old checkering lines perfectly due to the fact that the tools used were, more often than not, hand made.
