I have heard the sandhill cranes flying overhead for the last two days. It's hard to believe, but we will be planting corn in six weeks!

Eric,Believe me..I am enjoying the weather thats in front of me right now.But with a keen eye over my shoulder as to whats sneaking up. Having lived in New England all my life I find the old verse"If ya don,t like the weather wait five minutes" to be very true....

A friend of mine does power line construction and he just got home from doing storm work in northern Vermont and we enjoyed the day with some Beagles and the .22's.

I heard the Turkeys gobbeling this morning around 6, no Robins or Woodcock but I saw sone Geese flying north today.

I'm looking forward to the shooting season.
