I have used hammer screws and also used buttplate screws.
The buttplate screws were timed originally, so there is no guarantee for a proper fit using used ones.
Brian: I would think that timing buttplate screws should be easy. Wood and adheasive should be all that is needed. It is not like removing metal from the bottom and top of a receiver screwhead. Am I wrong? Bob
