Just to add insult to injury, the lead shot and lead bullet situation will get worse, much worse. The last remaining domestic lead smelter, located in Missouri, will be closing. All domestic mined lead will then have to be sent off shore for smelting/refining. The owners of the smelter estimated it would cost $100,000,000 to comply with the newest EPA regulations. Did not make economic sense to continue the operation.
