Went shooting at Drake Landing on Saturday, and as I was finishing up, Dan Andrews flagged me down and asked me if I had my camera phone, and a few minutes to spare. He wanted to show me the new sporting clays course, and asked me to take some pictures to get you guys really fired up for April.
It's not finished yet, but he's very close. It should be completed by mid March for an upcoming event. This is a sample of the stations, but not all of them. It's going to be AWESOME, and you won't believe the variation in elevation throughout the course.
This might be the coolest station on the course. You'll stand and shoot over the stone wall at birds close to, or on the ground.
The best part is that Dan is planning to reserve this course for more experienced shooters. If you need a safety briefing, or haven't shot much before, you'll be directed to shoot the old course. Dan has spared no expense with this new course, and it shows.
