When I first moved into my present home in Lexington, South Carolina @ 30 years ago there were at least 3 large coveys of wild Bob White quail in the 150 acre pasture behind my house. Today there are none. I don't know why either!

i used to work on a quail plantation .
from what I seen hawks would massacre the quail population .
To bad we don't have a hawk season, really they are just a coyote with wings
