Calvin, I watched a show on one of the gun channels where barroom self defense was demonstrated. An innocent was attacked by a drunk with a broken bottle. The demonstrator showed how to take a knife out of your pocket and sever the tendons of the arm holding the bottle. All the while there was a perfectly good barstool within reach, which any country boy would recognize as the preferred weapon in a bar fight.
