Default question

i seen a stock and frame of a grade 2 on a auction site it had no barrels and forem..what interested me was the engraving of a pheasant on the right side of the frame nothing but a pheasant on this side and it was the best pheasant on a parker yet..rest of the engraving on the left side was not good enough in the pictures to really tell what it was...if it is a g grade i ve never seen one with just 1 big phez on the side...serial no was in the 54000 range will look again and make sure what the serial number really is the phex has me puzzled..i remember it was a 1 frame gun...has anybody seen a early hammerless gun in grade 2 with just one big phez on the right side of frame..i will get my magnifiing glass out and look better...charlie

Charlie ,FYI ,If you measure from center of firing pin to center of firing pin ,the measurement for a #1 Frame gun is " 1 1/16 " a # 1 1/2 Frame Gun is 1 1/8 a #2 Frame gun is also " 1 1/8 " and for a #3 Frame it is 1 3/16 , Hope this helps you out in figuring if you would need a #2 Frame set of barrels or a # 3 ! Parker Gun and Serialization Book ,Page 45 . Best; Russ

It is a very early E grade (2). That type of very minimal engraving is commonly seen on very early grade 2 guns. It is basically P/N engraving with a few animals awkwardly placed on it.

Charlie, have the seller measure the exact distance between the pins and report here. Maybe someone has barrels for the gun.
