If it was your Dad's gun and he used it at some point in his life and you wish to bring it back so you can shoot it and keep it as a family heirloom then yes, it probably is worth it. Keep in mind that the gun will likely never be worth the $$ amount you pay for restoration. Certainly it is your decision to make.
