Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

What a great discussion! But one quick correction of what I was saying with the 6% number. I wasn't saying that 6% of the records are missing (I am not sure what that number is but I expect it is addressed somewhere in TPS). What I was saying is that of the records known, 15,000 26" barrels out of 242,487 gun produced is 6%. And that 6% out of 100% represents something that is not common. The question is with 5-7 barrel lengths possible, is 6% unusual (do other lengths represent 6% or 20% or 40% or 60%, etc.) On the Errata notes (I have the insert and page 1043-1044 in Vol 2) where is the 20ga Damascus reference -- I have the 20ga GH Damascus "restored" PGCA 2008 auction gun and my research prior to getting it showed that the Newsletter saying there were only 2 was incorrect.

Well the newsletter was wrong. Most entries in the newsletter are under a byline. That byline may give you more information. You wouldn't have to have much experience in the Parker world before you realized that "2" is incorrect. Your first trip to gunbroker.com would provide you with a clue.
