I received the gun this afternoon and I like it a lot. The only problem I find (other than the buggered hammer screws and the missing screw on the side of the SKBP) is the fact that someone had used the wrong method to clean the crud from the metal surfaces and succeeded in polishing the finish off the Damascus barrels and any remaining case color from the entire frame. It also appears that he cleaned the wood a bit and oiled the wood nicely without overdoing it.
It is a 1875 gun, Grade 3, Skeleton Steel Butt Plate, 2-Frame (1 1/8" between firing pins), 14 LOP, 2 3/4" DAH, 2" DAC, 30 3/16" barrels (book says 30") checkering in very nice condition, locks up tight and solid (no wiggle even with forend off) Chokes haven't been touched, a few rusty patches in the bores but no pitting.... and it fits me very nicely.
