Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..

Trojan 16 Guage Restoration
I am having Turnbull do some work on my stock. My grandfather did a poor job of installing a butt pad so I am having the butt pad replaced, the checkering reworked, and the wood refinished. Does anyone know what the original finish on the frame would have been? The barrells are about 80 to 90% so I am doing nothing to them. The frame is in good condition, but bluing is pretty much gone. Did the Trojans have a color case hardened finish or was it blued? I can see what looks like remnants of a case hardened finish on the forend metal and the water table, but I am not sure.
I had no choice but to rework the stock; should I refinish the frame and if so what finish? Is the gun worth more unchanged. The stock and forend are at Turnbulls now so I dont have any pics just yet. The frame is in good shape except for the wear since it was manufactured in 1914. This gun has not been shot very much, is in excellent working condition and I ocassionaly hunt with it. All serial numbers match including on the butt stock and forend.
Any advice will be appreciated.
