Default Anyone heard of this being done by Parker

Here is something that I have never heard being done by Parker. The seller of this very late G grade gun says in his description

“In the early 20th century as gunmakers were transitioning from Damascus to steel barrels there were buyers who still appreciated the beauty of the Damascus pattern. Parker, in an effort to supply those discriminating buyers, acid etched some of the new Titanic steel barrels with a beautiful Damascus pattern. This was mostly cosmetic and market driven. This gun is an excellent example of that effort.”

I have included some pictures from his ad showing Damascus barrels marked as Titanic. Has anyone heard of this being done?
