So I picked the gun up today from my FFL. I’ll start with you just have to love Cabelas gun library. So I’ll start with the good mistake they made, its actually a DHE and the ejectors seem strong and timed correctly. Now the bad…The gun is actually sleeved and was originally Damascus. To add to it, I’m going to assume the gun was originally a 16 gauge as it’s also on a 1 frame. That being said the bores are in good condition and the gun seems to function just fine (I’ll hopefully get it down to the clay range next week). With an actual bore gauge the chokes measure out to skeet 1 and skeet 2. The wood has been redone but is probably original. The case colors are redone as well and done decently well. So I guess the answer is the barrels have been cut lol, just a lot more than we guessed. I rechecked the serialization book and it’s not listed. I’m going to order a letter on it to see what it was originally. I used my Cabelas credit card points so all in I’ve invested $35 buck so I am going to keep it. It will make a great grouse and woodcock gun and I wont feel even feel a little bad carrying it through the woods.
