Default VT Turkey Hunting

So far I haven’t been able to call any gobblers into range… hens yes, but the gobblers hang up at 80-100 yards. But it’s still very exciting.
Dorothy has been at “Turkey Camp” with me since Monday… SOS each day but she has loved the experience. She’s never hunted turkeys but she has taken 4 moose in Maine and countless deer and grouse so she’s no newbie to hunting.
After a frustrating morning of talking to gobblers back and forth until noon (legal quitting time) we were headed back to the truck and Lo and Behold - we wouldn’t go home empty handed!!
Sauteed in butter and olive oil we had them in scrambled eggs this morning…
