Robert, the Gold Hearts gun has been pictured in the Parker Pages. My first Parker, bought in 1960, the 28 you refer to, is a common 1904 VH 28" gun bored modified and full, with all original fixtures and completely refinished, including case color, by Larry DelGrego Sr. in 1972. I'm not sure he actually refinished the wood and barrels because they were about mint when LDG got the gun. The action was white, screws perfect, and the checkering had been repointed at Paul Jaeger's in the fall of 1967. I spent a wonderful long weekend with very young Jannie Broughton in the summer of 1967 in Ocean City, New Jersey. She lived in Jenkintown, so I thought that a trip to Jaeger's would be a great opportunity to get my gun worked on and rekindle my relationship with this young lady. Of course, shortly after I returned home, I got my greeting from the President, and by the opening day of PA pheasant season, I was on my way to Fort Bragg, never to see the lovely Jannie again. The little 28 lived with my Dad for two years and has been with me since. It isn't much to look at, but it is a fine shooter and still in much the same condition as when it returned from LDG except for some lightening of the case color on the trigger plate.
