I know a gunsmith who does alot of pressure testing for big bore shotguns. I think he said the Industrial loads he tested and the ones he reloaded were in the 20k range. I think he used quickload to develop those loads. The high velocity loads are 3oz at 1700fps . His test gun was a H&R 10 gauge he rebored to 8 ga he was surprised I think that such a thin 8 gauge barrel held up to it . Those barrels have almost no taper through them and the wall thickness is roughly .20" at the chambers if I recall .
