Parker Proctologist
I need to replace the butt on my latest project a D from 1892 SN 76172. It had a deteriated recoil pad on it but I think it may been made with a ssbp since there is a remenant of the inlet for the spur at the top of the stock however the area where there would have been checkering has been sawed or file flat. My question is if I wanted to return the gun to original condition who could do the work and is it (as I suspect) very expensive. I have seen just the plate with no screws for 200 and imagine the labor involved in installation would be alot more. If I decide to go with another recoil pad what kind do you think would be best (were recoil pads even an option back in 1892 for Parker? Thanks
