Hello, I just acquired this Parker 10 gauge from my grandfather. I have been admiring it sitting in the corner of his living room as a conversation pc for years and I jokingly asked him to sell it to me and he took me up on it. I have no interest in getting rid of it and I’m sure it’s not worth much in its condition. But just holding something with so much history is cool.
I’ve done a little research on this website based on the serial number, but any info would be great. Serial number is 25788. Chart says produced in 1882.
 It’s a 10 gauge 30 inch Damascus barrel grade 2.
The bore is pretty pitted and action is loose. There is a copper or brass nameplate on the tang, but cannot make out anything.
Thanks for looking. By the way, he let me have it for $100.00. He told me it wasn’t worth much in its condition, and I think he bought it for $20 years ago. So in his mind he got a good deal. In my mind it’s the best $100.00 I’ve spent in a long time.
Haven’t figured out how to post pictures yet.
