Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Assistance with Early Parker
I'm a new member but posting here as this sub-forum seems to have more activity than the New Member Intro section.
I have what appears to be an early Parker with a serial number indicating c.1874 build. I received this gun from my grandfather several years ago before his passing. It does not appear to be exceptionally well cared for before my ownership, and I am now interested in learning more about it and potentially restoring or preserving it.
I've followed some of the identification procedures on this site but, due to the condition of the barrel, am having difficulty identifying some of the markings. For example, even the serial number under the forend is difficult to read, but appears to be 2095 or 3095. Hopefully some folks here will be kind enough to provide some assistance and point me in the right direction.
I will post some pictures and provide some additional commentary in a follow-up post.
