A few weeks ago, I went to look at an 0 frame 28ga VH. Confirmed it was in its original configuration of straight stock, 28"barrels. The gun had been refinished some time ago, and I was struggling to figure out if the colors on the receiver were real or faux. I thought it might seem heavy with and 0 frame, but the 28" barrels made it pretty. Last thing I checked was wall thickness; OK, Original chokes of cyl and modified, and my heart sunk. It was now cyl and cyl. The left barrel had been honed.
Despite the really good price, I left it behind. I still feel bad about it, but it isn't of much use, other than a long skeet gun.
