In 1985, I bought an Ithaca NID No. 2 Super 10 from Randy Shuman, and that year Winchester dropped the sole remaining 2 7/8 inch Super 10 load from their offerings. Remington had dropped the Super 10 a few years before. I bought all the Super 10 shells Potomac Arms had at their end of season ammo sale, some 24 boxes. I still have these full and a part box --

I’ve got an NID #2 Super 10 as well . Got it a year or two before you got the one you have . Although ours has had the barrels reblued and the wood refinished . Now if I could just find a reasonably priced NID #2 MAG 10 I’d have ALL the Ithaca guns I’d want .
