Wow - you are confused....

Parker never produced a gun with letters in the serial number, i.e. 2365XX, the two X's being the letters I was referring to.

On the guns that you have with a N preceding the serial number, the N is not a part of the serial but if you look closely it is actually a No. (with the right vertical stroke of the N intersecting or touching the o) meaning "Number" and you will only find that engraved in script on the trigger guard strap on grades 3 and higher.

See example on a Grade 4 hammer gun.
