Rio hulls have the stars on the base and definitely require the larger European primers. Maybe they get the plastic part from Cheddite and put their own brass on or have cheddite put brass on that requires the larger primer. Rio has a factory in Texas now and their ammo got more expensive when they did that. Their ammo is the cleanest burning I've ever seen and the hulls reload well in my experience.
