Usually pitted bores are not as bad as they appear, do not present a significant danger and are inconsequential to patterning. They can often be honed if an owner is bothered by the appearance and with the understanding that Parker barrels can usually be honed and reduced in wall thickness by up to .010 before unease sets in. Knowing wall thickness is critical.
By the way, the frame number designations are not inch measurements. For example, a 1/2 frame 12 gauge is not 1/2" across and a Number 2 frame is not 2 " across the bolsters.
