Gettin' Ready
I am really envious of you guys south of the Mason/Dixon line. All the talk of preparing dove fields gets my adrenaline flowing for the official start of hunting season. We here in PA are not permitted to manipulate an agricultural field beyond what is considered "normal" farming practices. So, we have to search all over the place to find a field that the doves are liking this year. However, just because we cannot work fields we can work on other aspects.
My son has a new lab pup(8 months old) that has been through all the yard work and will be ready for his first real hunting experience next week. So, we thought we would give him a head start by shooting some pigeons for him. He did an excellent job - he's ready!
