Bill, you and I examined a B grade 5 gun a few years ago at the Southern as I recall, in Stephen Cobb's rack of "NFS" guns that had no engraving at all (I don't remember if it had the V style of border roll and I don't recall what style of checkering either). I wonder whatever would posess someone to order a gun like this?... in my opinion it is nothing more than a V grade 1 as the internals are said to be the same between the grades except for the polishing of internal parts in the higher grades. It is, however, collectable in that it is unusual by the mere fact of the grade stamps.

I have a very nice forend from a VH with engraving common to a C grade 4 and above. The gun is in the book as a VH and has V grade checkering.
