Default Can a letter be that wrong?

I have a GH, 30" Damascus barrels, sn 57283, all numbers are matching, G on watertable. The serial number range is 1889.

Received my letter on the gun, it states it's a VH with 30" Vulcan barrels, ordered in late 1890. It also states it was sent back to Parker twice (1906 & 1915) to have a new stock & barrels reblued, & for repair of the action.

I am now more confused...
