In reference to this Parker Reproduction 28:

http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1364

I got it in today and measured the chokes and bores:

Bore Right 0.554
Bore Left 0.555
Choke Right 0.020
Choke Left 0.040

That left choke is .040" !

I patterned it today on paper at 25 yards. 15 shots on 15 pieces of paper. The gun shoots to the same point. The left barrel pattern fits inside a 18" circle. The right inside an 21" circle. I shot AA #9s, AA#8s, AA Supersport #7-1/2, Remington #8s, and Fiocchi HV #8s.

The forcing cones are 1/2" long.

Minimum wall thickness is 0.025". It is a very light gun (5lbs 6oz) with 28" barrels but this still surprised me. I don't see any evidence in the bores that they have been honed.

Has anyone else measured bore diameters on their 28ga? The serial number is 28-29XX

Best,

Mike
