New User Inquiry-16 Trojan
Greetings from New Hampshire. I recently bought a 1919 16 gauge Trojan serial number 186773. It has a number #1 frame. I am trying to find any information on the gun. It has 26" barrels with a space at the end (I assume barrels were not cut). It is choked IM & strong full.
There are two marks on the barrels that I have not seen. One is a small "R" and the other looks like an "X" on the lug where the fore end attaches to the barrel. I am wondering if the "R" indicates it was sent back to the factory for a repair?
I bought it to hunt with and the gun has great feel. I shoot sporting clays competitively and I am just starting to get into vintage guns. NSCA #553867. I have a Winchester 12 ga Model 23 heavy duck that I shoot in competitions. Thinking I might pick up a another Parker 12 ga. 30" for the Vintager. Are there any models or characteristics preferred or competitive clay shooting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
