Turkey season opened Oct 1, went out with the 10 gauge NH and my 1 1/4 oz. handloads. Was fortunate and took 2 birds over the next 2 days 12# hen @ 25yards and a 17# jake @ 35yards, one shot each The gun and loads performed flawlessly. I guess the VHE 16 ga 30" F/F will be semi retired except for those long walk way back in turkey hunts. The 10 sure is a fun gun to shot. My Dad was right along time ago when he touted the benefits of his 10 ga LC Smith as the perfect water fowl gun I should have paid more attention, I'm sold now.
