Default Parker 189050

This is my 2nd Parker, with a couple of questions for those who read until the end. I snapped her up after finding the listing online for $475 plus the shipping at about 11pm one night. The gun had been listed for about an hour, and I thought about it before purchasing for less than a minute. Its a VH 12ga with 28" barrels. Bores are near perfect except for a slight ding in each barrel that shows. A little larger than a thumb nail sized chip at the toe, with various handling marks and dings over the wood. All in all it looks pretty good, though a good cleaning is in order. Frame size is a 1 with barrels weighing 3.10. A pretty nice handling little wand for a 12ga. This thing has rainy day double written all over it. I like the way it feels just carrying it around the office. I really think it will be hard to beat the value in this one.

The chambers appear to have been opened up, as evidenced by reamer marks at the end of each chamber. I haven't measured, but the marks have to be from either lengthening the cones or opening the chamber. Current chokes are F/M, but I might have those opened if I keep it since the bores already appear to have been altered.

End of the barrels do not have the flat mark, but the ends kiss and there is nearly 4 inches of choke taper in each barrel. I found it interesting how the barrel rib is not uniform on the sides. Notice how the left edge is smooth as compared to the right. Is this common?

I have noticed a problem with the gun. I've only dry fired it, but after doing so the barrels will not come free. I finally figured out the the front trigger is not rebounding. When I nudge the trigger back forward the gun will open without problem. What is causing this, and how can it be remedied?
