It's a pertinent topic unless you're clueless about how politics works. It behooves a group of enthusiasts to know who shares a similar passion. It can open discussions with politicians who, UNFORTUNATELY, have what we may need. I did a lot of lobbying in Albany and trust me when I say that there are politicians who are on our side behind closed doors, but not so much publicly. They don't want to severe the whole constituency they have, sadly. One of the finest collection of WWII rifles and early American shotguns belongs to a NYS politician who won't publicly support the shooting sports, but I always knew if there was an issue I could call him or go to his house to discuss it. So YES, it is important to know who might shoot a Parker or enjoy SxS shotguns, and that INCLUDES politicians. I kind of like the original question. But Schumer? Uh...no.
