My first airplane ride was in a Flying Tigers Airline DC3 in December of 1954 from Baltimore to Chicago. From Navy boot camp to A School at Great Lakes Naval Training Center.
And further, my Navy enlistment started exactly 69 years ago today - August 24th, 1954.
