What bothers me is that someone will post a buy they made asking for advice, and then not reply or fail to keep the dialogue going about that purchase.  I think in this case, folks were very gentle in describing a well worn, obviously tampered with gun, that is far from original and very likely used hard.  That being said, I would hope the OP would use it as a buying experience or perhaps talk to the seller about misrepresentation.  Personally, I hate seeing someone giving up on Parkers.  We all have made mistakes.  I buy "shooters" and half my buddies who see them wonder if I'm nuts because they're not "pristine."  I'm not a safe queen guy.  At the very least I hope the OP would make it shoot safely and use her as Mr Parker intended.  Nothing to be embarrassed about, there is a LOT to learn.  Ask me how I know.
