I not sure I understand the question? If you are asking how to make the lever go to the center when the barrels are off, simple hold the lever over and use a pencil to push down on the little tab in the grove in the frame, it's at the bottom of the flat breach wall, down in the grove. Push it down and let the lever slowly over to the center position.
I said to use a pencil because it's wood and will not scratch the gun; any soft push stick will work.
