First question, are you going to be loading 3.5" or 2 7/8" 10ga or both? The Ithaca Mag 10 is of modern design, fluid steel barrels and was built to shoot 3.5 inch shell exclusively, I doubt it would eject most lower pressure 2 7/8" reloads many people load for their Parker 10's.

Are the hulls green with "The Bismuth Cartridge Company" "No-Tox" stamped on them in silver? The ones I have say Remington Peters 10 ga on the head stamp. The question is what Remington hull are they as referred to by Sherman Bell; Rem blkltr, Rem whtltr, Rem OS? I don't know for sure.

Those of us loading 2 7/8" 10ga sometimes have to use our head and sail into uncharted territory when it comes to reloading. I have not been afraid to do so.

I am assuming you are going to reload them with lead shot. Regardless of which Remington hull it is (assuming they are Remington hulls), Sherman Bell's data shows that using a soft primer, Winchester 209 and 30 grains of SR7625 will push an 1 1/4 ounce load around 1150 fps at pressures in the 5000 to 6500 psi range in hulls cut down to 2 7/8"

If I wanted to shoot 1 1/8 ounce loads in 2 7/8" hulls I would go with a faster powder like 700-x or Red Dot, 19 grains, realize however this is just me and when you load an "undocumented" recipe you proceed at your own risk but I shoot similar loads for several years without issue through three composite barrel 10ga doubles.
