It's not my 'cup of tea' but somebody had a grand vision and did what he wanted to do with the gun. I don't find anything wrong with it and the workmanship is top quality all the way... I really don't think we should get into 'slamming' other peoples guns here. I've got a couple of guns that I like a lot but somebody else didn't and they said so publicly and that didn't leave me with a good feeling.

Anyway, it's an interesting gun and I'm sure whoever buys it will do so because he 'likes it a lot'.

How ugly does a gun have to get before it's gorgeous?? This is nothing compared to a vintage gold-encrusted Tiffany Colt revolver - anyone think they're ugly?? This isn't so bad... I like it actually! But I spent a lot of time handling Triggs custom gold inlaid "Crazy Man" Parker Repros.

It's not my taste but then again, it is not my gun. Variety is the spice of life. Whatever combination of features makes you happy is the right one for you.

I think that if the gun ever gets used enough to wear down the case colors, the gold inlays on the metal won't look all that bad. Now, the gold outlining on the stock will never look right in my opinion.

I'm with Dudley. I actually like the case colors and can forgive the gold inlays, but the gold trim in the wood is just a bit more than I can abide.
