OK Ed -I agreed on the Philadelphia Gun Co Fox design vs the Parker
![]() but the Sauer Vs Fox looks to be more like a coincidence. Even if you take the intercepting sears out of the mix. The contours are different and within the limitations of the A&D box - if you want to lighten and countour the outside - there you go. I could see grabing the Philadelphia Gun Co Fox instead of a VH if they were in the same safe in dim light but my Sauer often sits with Foxes in the safe and I have never made that mistake. BUT - nice comparisons - keep them coming ![]()

ah fox started making box lock guns around 1900. both made fine shotguns. |
