The fall flight is underway!
Northcentral Wisconsin has been experiencing some pretty stiff winds out of the Northwest over the past couple of days and nights, couple that with a near full moon has brought the woodcock down from the North. I hunted a growth of young Aspen trees a few days ago that was devoid of any timberdoodles, but today that same area was lousy with them--the doodles and their tell-tale splashes were everywhere. There's definitely gonna be a whole lot of fun taking place the next few days...
