Default 20 Gauge VH Bite Replacement

I just acquired a 20 VH 140207. The rear lug has a replaceable Bite that is worn. I have three options: !. Find a new replacement. 2. Weld and file to fit. 3. JB Weld and file to fit. The screws are good, the barrels may have been cut to 28", the stock looks like a dog scratched up one side and there is a bolt through the head of the stock. I intend to give it to my youngest grandson because the 20 Trojan of my fathers is going to a nephew that knew his grandfather. I welcome all thoughts damning or not.

Harry, do whatever you want with it. Who gives a dam what anyone else thinks. It's your gun. Do what pleases you

Replacements are available from Louis Rotelli, a PGCA member. Get non hardened.
Fitting is required, but it is not that difficult.
