Default Ohio endangered species spotted at flea market

Found this folk art carved grouse at a country flea market today. For $20 it came home with me.
If the print looks familiar, it's by Cole Johnson who always has a nice display at Hausmann's.

Cole’s art is the best. What an incredible talent to be able to put on paper what’s in his mind’s eye !!

Harold, nice find!

I still have trouble with what happened to grouse hunting in Ohio. I know I should get over it, but I keep remembering those special days around Nelsonville — what an unnecessary shame.

Cole lives in these parts and I remember when his prints were not selling because he was new on the scene. Not the case now. Great stuff.
