Default 1927 Price List

Just acquired a SBT SC made in 1927 and was curious to its list price in 1927. I saw reference to $150 in 1917, but nothing on subsequent years.

I don't have the detail on Parker Bros. prices that I do on A.H. Fox Gun Co. Fox prices were steady for the first ten years, but in 1916 they started upward with the inflation leading into WW-I. The Sterlingworth that started out at $25 and remained so through 1915, hit $55 by the December 1st, 1919, price list. Then dropped to $48 by the January 1st, 1922, price list.

When looking at prices up through the first decade or so of the 20th Century one has to be careful of the high List Prices in a lot of the retail catalogs and look for the Net Price that the guns actually sold for. A.H. Fox Gun Co. stopped messing around and began putting the Net Price in the catalogs in the 1910/11 time frame. Ithaca was still doing the high List Price in their catalogs up to at least 1918.
