Thumblever won't return when closing gun.

After I move it back to the left a 1/4" the spring strongly returns the lever to center.

Happened while I was out shooting trap today.

The barrels would go all the way down into the action and the dolls head into it's recess but the thumblever wouldn't automatically return to center.

Any ideas?

Mike, Sounds like the trip is sticking or there is some junk in there. Time for a good cleaning.

Thanks Dave. After I posted yesterday I noticed the thumb lever is loose on the spindle. Looks like another trip to the gun mechanic. It has spent more time with him than with me!
