Default I AM STILL ALIVE AND SEMI-WELL

Good Saturday to you fine men, even you Corona.
Schmeggler did a good job protecting my privacy so here is a little info but not too much.
On 10/25 after driving my wife crazy with coughing I went to my PCP and he immediately had an X-ray done of my lungs.
I failed.
He scheduled me for a CAT which I also failed, right lung filled with fluid.
My Pulmonologist- happy I already had one- compared the CAT to 3 years prior and after a meeting with him he put me in Hartford Hospital the next day with a Thoracic surgeon who drilled through my back and removed 1.4 liters of nasty red fluid from my right lung. After a Cytology report it was decided that I needed more exploration and on 12/13, I spent 4 hours in the OR with about 15 people and they cut a hole through my right rib cage and stuck in a camera and a John Deere mini excavator to take biopsies.
They haven't given me the full skinny yet- I get reports to my phone that I can't understand- but it is not cancerous but what is causing it I don't yet know and I am not sure they know either.
I was released after two days in the hospital.
My breath is good.
More to learn in the next two weeks.
I have to say the experience has caused me to evaluate what I need to focus on. I have missed our entire hunting season and I will probably reduce my gun collection accordingly.
I have a great family that is close by complete with two new grand-daughters and that is the greatest pleasure.. Oliver keeps me company and Sharon has been a saint in tolerating me.
Stay tuned.

"Good Saturday to you fine men, even you Corona."

Well actually my Saturday got markedly better hearing your trails and tribulations are not as dire as I suspected so I accept your statement as a form of endearment.

Good to know Georgie - Sharon deserves a round of three cheers just for allowing you to live in the same house with her but even more now that she has been steadfast through this.

You goin' to the New Year's Day shoot at Major Waldron's in Barrington, NH ???
