Default Identify Inherited Gun

Hello, new here. I was gifted some guns passed down from my grandfather to father to me. I’ve tried to research it but apparently Parker Bros are more complex than some. I did look up the serial number, 198006 and found it was manufactured in 1880, but that’s all I could find. Can anyone shed light on this? It has a 26” barrel.

Thank you!

Sorry thats incorrect . first off they didnt make a hammerless gun until 1888 . your serial number is a 1922 manufacture .

And it's a VH grade . To me it looks as if it's been reblued refinished , but I may be wrong .

According to our research vehicle, the 26" barrels are original. The important factor in value is overall condition, which involves some measurements, especially the bores. If you can share your location with us, we can put you in touch with one of our members who can help you.

Debbie,

I'm close by you and probably know the relative that passed it down. I know your family well. I will send you my number so look at the top right for a "Private Message." I will be able to tell you the choke information on the gun by measuring it. It is indeed a VH. May be a VHE if there are ejectors.

Jerry
